In this workshop, an Arts Therapist will guide you through a variety of prompts and processes that gently explore themes around Self and Identity and what it is that sparks joy for YOU! This is a chance for your Inner Child to tell their own story, embrace mess and imperfection and have a chance to play with a variety of collage and mixed media materials (yes, there will be glitter paint and stickers!)

This workshop is for those who are brand new to art journaling or want to expand their art journaling horizons, or an Artist or Arts Therapist needing some inspiration and wanting to explore a self-care tool.

Clients are encouraged to bring copies of photos of themselves as children and adults, their family, friends and pets. Please BYO your own A4 or A5 visual diary or old hardcover book that you wish to upcycle. All other materials with be supplied.

Our facilitator Lauren is a Creative Arts Therapist and a keen papercraft and mixed media artist. In her Community Art as Therapy workshops, Lauren invites freedom of expression, playfulness, experimentation and curiosity while engaging with the creative process and art materials.
