Creative Art Therapy Australia is a mental health service provider located at CATA Head Quarters (HQ), 135 Station Street, Fairfield, Victoria. CATA provides a range of therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with mental health challenges. Our specialist modalities include music therapy, drama therapy, art therapy, and dance | movement therapy and visual arts to promote prevention, acute care and recovery.

 

The services provided by CATA are tailored to the specific needs of each offering individual and group therapy sessions, as well as workshops and training programs and supervision for mental health professionals. These programs are held on site in Fairfield.

 

CATA also works collaboratively with other mental health providers, such as NDIS and allied health, to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to mental health care.  With a commitment to practice-based service delivery and ongoing professional development, all therapists are registered with the Australian and New Zealand Arts Therapy Association or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, ensuring they are held to the highest standards of professionalism and competence.

 

To use our onsite HQ facility, referrals are filled out online and contact is made within a 48-hour period.  Once referrals are discussed and triaged, CATA connects its mental health seekers with registered and vetted creative arts therapists.  The onsite facility is warm, friendly and inviting with rooms available throughout the week.  Bookings are required for evening and weekend sessions.
