CATA Kids is back for another fun-filled School Holiday creative arts workshop series!!

Tuesday 11th April 2023

All participants will be welcomed into the space by CATA's Creative arts team and supported to settle in with warm-up games and orientation. Participants will be invited to engage in the activities outlined below.

Creative Arts Workshop: Drumming & Drama

In this fun Creative Arts workshop the kids will participate in drumming and creating animal headbands, bringing animals to life with rhythm and movement. Through drumming, rhythm, dance, creative activities, mindful awareness, and play-based learning, we will provide opportunities for children to understand themselves, understand relationships, and others. 

10:00am Prompt drop-off.

10:30am to 12:00pm - Creative Arts Workshop 1 

12:00pm Rest and restore/snack break accompanied by local authors' Storytime

12:30pm to 2:00pm Creative Arts Workshop 2 

2:00pm Warm down

2:45pm Prompt pick-up

Meet our Facilitator: Kathryn Arbuckle is an experienced Special Education Teacher for over 25 years in a diverse range of roles. Kathryn experience includes classroom teaching, specialist roles in Music, Dance and Drama, Social and Emotional Learning, and Creative Arts. Kathryn is passionate about social and emotional learning and teaching children the skills to develop their self-awareness, social awareness, and self-management skills.
