What if you could reimagine your body part and transform it into a unique piece of art that expresses who you are?
We use Creative Arts Therapies to reimagine the body and change how individuals think about their prosthetic limbs. Finding positive meaning in the loss of a limb becomes a robust process for recovery, channelling their energy differently and changing mindsets from can’t to can!
We are connecting local artists and muralists under the guidance of our Creative Arts Therapists to merge the latest technology in transferring art images created onto artificial limbs.
This art process allows people of limb differences to infuse personality into their artificial limbs. Creative Arts Therapy sessions with qualified Creative Arts Therapists explore themes of body image, associated anxiety, modification, development, public self-consciousness, depression, bullying, and grief of loss. The process encourages positive dialogue and celebration around body diversity.
Our Creative Arts Therapy processes see people release, explore and celebrate themselves with their prosthetic limbs. Allowing them to be their authentic self, where physical appearances become a form of self-expression. Our goal is to demonstrate, through art, how a prosthetic is an extension of one's personality rather than a replacement of what is missing.
